Door Mr. Denton:
'N.
Accoroing to Commonwealth Edisan, chemical decontamination operations were performed on reactor water cleanup systems using the London Nuclear Can-Decon solution at Vermont Yankes (in 1979 and 1911) and at Brunswick I (1981) and 2 (1980):
and the cams solution was used at'Nine Mile Point - 1 on the reactor coolant recirculation pumps (in 1981).
Would you plasse snower the following questions:
- 1. Does the London Nuclear Con-Decon solution contain chelsting agents?
- 2. If so, was the rinsa water containing the solvent and the dissolved radioactive
.%g corrosion products kept separate from the regular liquid redweste effluent? And if so, by what means?
- 3. To which radioactive wasta burial site did each of the three utilities ship the wastes?
Your response to these questions will be greatly apprecieted.
Sincerely, b
