)

Dear Mr. Bechhoefer:

1 I write in support of Vermont Yankee's request to expand the capacity of its spent fuel pool. Vermont Yankee has been in l

operation for almost 15 years and has consistently demonstrated a concern for plant safety.

Their request to obtain a license amendment has, I trust, been undertaken with their typical, high regard for the health and welfare of the community.

Additionally, to lose Vermont Yankee prematurely because of a request denial would cause a severe economic impact on Brattleboro 4

and surrounding towns.

I ask your consideration of the above in rendering your i

important decision.

Sincerely, 1

W.
