Dear Mr. Roberts:

f)0 I NG SE lbk BRANCH It has come to my attention that, during your tour of the Seabrook Nuclear Plant on Friday, 8/6/82, statements were made to you by Mr. Bruce Beckley of Public Service Co., that all towns within the c_

~

10-mile radius of the plant have been contacted and are' working on evacuation planning.

This is to advise you that, as a state Representative, representing the Towns of Hampton Falls and Hampton, and as the Civil Defense Di-g rector for the Town of Hampton Falls, two of the Towns abutting the Seabrook plant, I can assure you that Mr. Beckley's statement is not true.

There is, at present, a suit'in the N.H. Supreme Court contesting the manner in which evacuation planning is being carried out.

! The two Towns which I represent, are but two of several towns which are awaiting the results of the Supreme Court Suit, in addition to citizen questions concerning activity in other towns.

If you would care to correct the record, please do not hesitate to j contact me.

I S' cerely yours, 4 .
