Dear Mr. Davis:
Reference (a) provided the results of the inspection conducted by Mr.
s D. Barss and others from September 11 through 14, 1990, at Braidwood Station. ,
Reference (a) identified a weakness in Braidwood Station's Generating Station l Emergency Plan (GSEP) Exercise conducted on September 12, 1990 and requested i 1 that Commonwealth Edison respond with a description of planned actions for I ' correcting the weakness. The purpose of this letter is to provide the proposed corrective actions.
Commonwealth Edison acknowledges that the Protective ' tion Recommendations (PARS) made by the Technical Support Center S' i during the exercise were inconsistent-with.the event classification. In order to prevent further-occurrence of this event the training classes for key Technical Support Center personnel are being revised to provide additional examples :
requiring the.use-of station procedures when making' PARS. Additionally, GSEP
. drills ~will be expanded, where possible, to include-_ Technical Support Center-p .,
Personnel and the requirement.for PARS.
