In Reference .(1), .TU Electric provided the status of the CPSES Equipment Qualification Program and the ongoing activities identified in Referenco (2).
Several open items were identified and scheduled to be completed by January 12, 1990, with the exception of Work Order C8913772. Work Order j C8913772, installation of dowel pins in the turbine-driven Auxiliary Feedwater l Pump,;was scheduled to be completed after Unit I fuel load.
l The purpose of this letter is to certify that all items identified in the
' Attachment to. Reference-1 are complete. The work associated with Work' Order C8913772 is no longer required to support the. seismic qualification of the pump. The need for the dowel pins to' resist the applied shear loads has been eliminated by qualifying the assembly as a friction connection.
