The referenced letter transmitted TV Electric's response to Notice of

I Violation 445/8935-V-01. In that response. TU Electric stated that the' procedure governing Maintenance Engineering Evaluations (MEE's) had been )
retired. At the time the response was, drafted, it was anticipated that the i procedure would be retired prior to transmittal of the response: to the NRC. 1 Through an administrative oversight, the procedure was not retired as planned. (
Upon discovery of this condition on October 11, 1989, action was immediately i initiated to retire the procedure. The retirement was- made effective October 13, 1989. Although the procedure was not retired until October 13, 1989, no MEE's have been initiated'since March of 1988. The MEE's.
that had been previously initiated were addressed as stated in the response to the Notice of Vic1ation. This matter was discussed'with Mr. R. F. Warnick on October 11, 1989.
