WHITE TELEPHONE: (407) 468-4248 REPORT MONTH SEPTEMBER 1993 Unit 2 reduced power from September 6, 1993 through September 10, 1993 for waterbox cleaning. On September 11, 1993, the unit reduced power due to a failure of the 2A1, 2A2, and 2B1 circulating water pump traveling screens. The unit remained at reduced power on September 12, 1993 due to high backpressure. On September 13, 1993 Unit 2 returned to full power. The unit reduced power again on September 22, 1993 due to high backpressure caused by excessive jellyfish intrusion. Unit 2 operated above 804 power from September 24, 1993 through September 25, 1993. On September 26, 1993, the unit again reduced power due to excessive jellyfish intrusion. From September 27, 1993 to September 29, 1993, Unit 2 held at about 504 power to repair a condenser tube leak and to clean the 2A2 waterbox. The unit reduced power again on September 30, 1993 due to a leak in the screen wash system and remained at reduced power due to high backpressure and increasing differential pressure across the 2B2 well.

In accordance with the requirements of Technical Specification 6.9.1.6, there were no challenges to the PORVs or safety valves during the report period.
