SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE DOCKET NO.: 50-335 UNIT: St. Lucie ¹1 DATE: Oct. 4, 1999 COMPLETED BY: J.A.ROGERS TELEPHONE: (561) 467-7296 REPORT MONTH ~MP 1999 Unit 1 operated at essentially full power through September 11. On September 12, the unit downpowered to approximately 68% power for main steam safety valve testing. The unit then commenced further downpowering for refueling. On September 13, the unit was removed from service at 0001 for refueling. Hurricane Floyd preparations and recovery preempted the refueling outage work for five days. On Septmeber 18, at 0001, the unit entered refueling outage status.

In accordance with the requirements of Technical Specification 6.9.1.6, there were no challenges to the power operated relief valves or the safety valves during the report period.

REPORT MOII ~Sb Unit 2 operated at essentially full power through September 13. On September 14, the unit downpowered to approximately 33% power due to Hurricane Floyd. On September 14, the unit returned to full power by end of day.

Unit 2 operated at essentially full power for the rest of the month.

In accordance with the requirements of Technical Specification 6.9.1.6, there were no challenges to the power operated relief valves or the safety valves during the report period.
