Breen TELEPHONE 407 465-3550 REPORT MONTH JULY 1991 On July 1, 1991, while the Unit was at full power the reactor automatically tripped on low steam generator level due to the loss of a steam generator feedwater regulatory controller. While commencing reactor startup on July 2, 1991, the Unit had difficulty with CEA f30 position indicator; after some troubleshooting CEA g30 was withdrawn and the Unit increased in power. The Unit then reduced in power when it experienced turbine control valve problems. On July 3, 1991, Unit 1 began to commence up in power and was held at 20% for shift turnover, the Unit was then held at 40% power for Nuclear Instrumentation Calibration. On July 4, 1991, Unit 1 was operating at full power.

The Unit downpowered periodically the rest of the month for waterbox cleaning.

In accordance with the requirements of Technical Specification 6.9.1.6, there were no challenges to the PORVs or safety valves during the report period.
