SUMMARY

OF PUBLIC MEETINGS RELATED TO THE LICENSE RENEWAL PROCESS FOR THE INDIAN POINT NUCLEAR GENERATING UNIT NOS. 2 AND 3, LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff conducted two public meetings related to the license renewal process for the Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit Nos. 2 and 3, license renewal application submitted by Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. The meetings were conducted on Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at the Colonial Terrace in Cortlandt Manor, New York. Approximately 400 people attended the meetings. The attendees included representatives of the NRC staff, members of the public, Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc., local governments, and the local news media. Public comments and questions were mainly focused on the license renewal process, current performance, emergency preparedness, and groundwater contamination.

A combined listing of attendees who registered for both public meetings is provided in. A copy of the handout provided during the meetings is included in Enclosure 2.
