SUMMARY

OF THE APRIL 21, 2005, PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS THE CLINTON END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT On April 21, 2005, a public meeting was held at the Vespasion Warner Public Library in Clinton, Illinois between the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the Clinton Power Station management and staff. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss NRCs assessment of the Clinton Stations performance for the period of January 1, 2004, through December 31, 2004.

The NRC presentation provided an overall assessment of the Clinton Stations performance as described in NRCs Annual Assessment Letter - Clinton Power Station, dated March 2, 2005, (reference ADAMS accession number ML050620335). The Clinton Station operated in a manner that preserved public health and safety and fully met all cornerstone objectives.

Mr. Michael McDowell, Clinton Plant Manager, responded on behalf of the licensee and the Clinton Power Station. Mr. McDowell discussed Clintons performance and accomplishments in 2004 and Clintons focus areas for 2005.

The meeting notice, NRC presentation, and slides summarizing Mr. McDowells presentation can be found in ADAMS as ML050950460, ML051310350, and ML051310363 respectively. A list of meeting participants can be found in the attached Enclosure.

Before adjourning the meeting, the NRC provided the opportunity for members of the public to ask questions. Local media representatives talked with NRC and licensee representatives after the meeting.
