OF THE MARCH 29, 2017, PUBLIC OUTREACH/OPEN HOUSE TO DISCUSS THE NRC 2016 END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF CLINTON POWER STATION On March 29, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (CDT), a public outreach/open house was held by representatives of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to provide the public with information on the 2016 End-of-Cycle plant performance assessment of the Clinton Power Station and with general information on the NRC. The outreach was held as part of the annual Business Expo conducted by the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce. The Expo was held at the Clinton High School and involved representatives of approximately 50 local businesses and government agencies staffing booths in the schools gymnasium. Members of the public visited the various booths as dictated by their interests.
Representatives at the NRC booth made copies of the 2016 End-of-Cycle plant performance assessment of Clinton Power Station and other information brochures and fact sheets available to the public in attendance. The NRC representatives also discussed the Clinton Power Station or the NRC, in general, with over 30 members of the public. No feedback form was received during this open house.
