SUMMARY

OF THE AUGUST 7, 2014, NRC PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS THE 2013 END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT FOR CLINTON POWER STATION On August 7, 2014, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held a public meeting at the Vespasian Warner Library in Clinton, Illinois, to discuss the 2013 end-of-cycle results for Clinton Power Station for the period of January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013. Enclosed is a list of attendees for the meeting. A copy of the NRC and licensee slides for this public meeting can be found in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) at Accession Number ML14220A249 and ML14223A574 respectively.

At the meeting, the NRC provided an overview of the Reactor Oversight Program (ROP), a review of the NRCs major inspection activities for 2013, and the results of the 2013 annual assessment for Clinton. The NRCs presentation was followed by statements from the Clinton Site Vice President and the Acting Plant Manager. The licensee discussed their community outreach efforts, the review conducted by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Operational Safety Review Team (OSART), scheduled to begin August 11, 2014, and provided an overview of the lessons learned from the evaluations to prepare for the supplemental inspection, Inspection Procedure 95001, for the White performance indicator for unplanned reactor scrams.

After the business part of the meeting ended, the NRC representatives allowed time for comments and questions from the public.
