BV-2 Docket No. 50-412, License No. NPF-73 License Amendrent Request Noa. 270 and 146 j Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90, Duquesne Light Company requests an amendment to the i above licenses in the form of changes to the technical specifications .(TS). The license L . amendment request (LAR) proposes to revise the TS surveillance frequency for the l' Quench and Recirculation Spray Systems nozzle air flow test from 5 years to 10 years

! consistent with the guidance provided in Generic Letter 93-05, j

ThE LARalso includes a revision to correct the terminology used in an action i eequirement in TS 3/4.2.1, Axial Flux. Difference. In addition, this LAR contains miscellaneous editorial and format changes.

L The proposed TS changes for Unit No. I and Unit No. 2 are presented in Attachments A-1 and A-2,.respectively. The safety analysis (including the no significant hazards evaluation) is presented in Attachment B.

Thes~ e changes have been reviewed by the Beaver Valley review committees. The changes were determined to be safe and do not involve a significant hazard consideration as defined in 10 C"R 50.92 based on the attached safety analysis. An implementation period of up to 60 days is requested following the effective date of this amendment.
