Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No. I and No. 2 BV-1 Docket No. 50-334, Licease No. DPR-66 BV-2 Docket No. 50-412, License No. NPF-73 Proposed Operating License Change Request Nos. 218 and 85 Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90, Duquesne Light Company requests an amendment to the

. above licenses in the form of changes to the technical specifications. The proposed changes will modify the source range neutronf lux requirements to-allow the use of altemate detectors.

The proposed technical specification changes for Ur.it No. I and Unit No. 2 are presented in Attachments A-1 and A-2, respectively. The safety analysis (including the no significant hazards evaluation) is presented in Attachment B. UFSAR changes are presented in Attachment C-1 and C-2, respectively. Relative source range and alternate detector locations are shown in Attachment D.

This change has been reviewed by the Onsite Safety Committee and Offsite Review Committee. The change was determined to be safe and does not involve a significac hazard consideration as defined in 10 CFR 50.92 based on the attached safety analysis.

I An implementation period of up to 60 days is requested following the effective date of this amendment.
