Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No.1 Docket No. 50-334, License No. DPR-66 Proposed Operating License Change Request No. 240 Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90, Duquesne Light Company requests an amendment to the above license in the fonn of changes to the technical specifications. The proposed i

change modifies Specification 3.4.8 by reducing the reactor coolant system specific activity limits in accordance with Generic Letter 95-05.

The proposed technical specification changes are presented in Attachment A. The safety analysis (including the no significant hazards evaluation) is presented in Attachment B. The reactor coolant system specific activity analysis is presented in Attachment C. An information copy of proposed UFSAR changes is presented in Attachment D.

This change has been reviewed by the Onsite Safety Committee and Offsite Review Committee. The change was determined to be safe and does not involve a significant hazard consideration as defined in 10 CFR 50.92 based on the attached safety analysis.

1 Approval of this amendment is requested for September 5, 1997. An

, implementation period of up to 60 days is requested following the effective date of this amendment.
