Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90, Duquesne Light Company requests an amendment to the above licenses in the form of changes to the technical specifications. The proposed changes will modify the Limiting Condition for Operation titled, " Accident Monitoring Instrumentation" and associated surveillance requirements for Unit No. I and Unit No. 2.
An implementation period of 60 days is requested following the effective date of the amendment.
The proposed technical specification changes for Unit No.1 and Unit No. 2 are presented in Attachments A-1 and A-2, respectively. The safety analysis (including the no significant hazards evaluation) is presented in Attachment B.
This change has been reviewed by the Onsite Safety Committee and Offsite Review Committee. The change was determined to be safe and does not involve a significant hazard consideration as defined in 10 CFR 50.92 based on the attached safety analysis.
