" Correction to 14-Day Follow-Up Report, Licensee Event Report 83-073," dated October 21, 1983 Pursuant to Section 6.9.1.13.b of Appendix A, Technical Specifications to Facility Operating License NPF-15 for San Onofre Unit 3, this submittal provides the required 30-day written report and a copy of the Licensee Event Report (LER) form for an occurrence involving Limiting Condition for Operation (LCO) 3.3.3.5 associated with the Remote Shutdown Instrumentation.
As described in the referenced letters, with Unit 3 in Mode 3 and during investigation.to determine the source of unidentified RCS leakage, charging and letdown were isolated at 2118 on September 29, 1983, by closing manual isolation valves S31208MUO84 and S31208MUO91 in accordance with an approved

Abnormal Valve Lineup. The closing of these valves also rendered Boronometer 3AE0203 inoperable.
The improper lineup was corrected at 0157 on September 30, 1983, restoring the boronometer-to operable status. Cause.and corrective actions are described in LER 83-073, and include revision'to. procedures and training.
