i This letter forwards Licensee Event Report (LER) 98-017-01, documenting a condition that was discovered at Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 2, on i August 12,1998. This LER is being submitted pursuant to 10 CFR 50.73(a)(2)(i) )

and 10 CFR 50.73(a)(2)(ii). This LER supplement provides an update on the analyses and investigation for this condition.
