B17173 Attachment List of Regulatory Commitments The. following table identifies those actions committed to by NNECO in this document. Please notify the Manager - Regulatory Compliance at the Millstone Nuclear Power Station Unit No. 3 of any questions regarding this document or any associated regulatory commitments.

Number Commitment Due B17173-01 Troubleshooting of the Boric Acid Transfer Complete System to determine the source (s) of air intrusion into the system and corrective actions have been identified.

B17173-02 Procedures have been revised to Complete incorporate leseons leamed from the troubleshooting effort to avoid air -

entrainment during Boric Acid Transfer System operation to address deficiencies in the design of the system.

B17173-03 Vent valves have been added to tie'high Complete points in the gravity boration pathways.

B17173-04 Validate effectiveness of the revised batching Prior to Mode 2 procedure and revise as necessary.

B17173-05 Evaluate potential system modifications to Prior to Refueling minimize hydrogen stripping and eliminate Outage 6 locations which promote gas accumulation.

B17173-06 Investigate potential sources of hydrogen and Prior to Mode 2 recommend corrective actions to reduce or eliminate the gas buildup.

B17173-07 Develop a surveillance program to periodically Prior to Mode 2 monitor the affected piping, to establish a gas accumulation rate and periodicity for venting gas to ensure charging pump operability.

B17173-08 Establish a maximum allowed volume of gas in Prior to Mode 2 ,

the boric acid gravity boration piping, to ensure pump operability and establish an allowable venting frequency.
