f Gentlemen:
On December 21, 1983, Georgia Power Company (GPC) subnitted a request for changes to the Plant Hatch Unit 2 Technical Specification requirements I for usage of the Traversirg Incore Probe (TIP) system. 'Ihis subnittal l contained a significant hazards evaluation as required by 10 CFR 50.92 4 (Attachnent 3 to that subnittal) .
Recently, GPC revised its methodology for conductirg significant hazards reviews for Technical Specification charge proposals. As a result of this, GPC has rewritten the wording subnitted to the NRC in the above mentioned ==-
letter. This revised review does not result in a change to the conclusions g drawn in the original subnittal. The attachnent enclosed with this letter should be used to replace Attachment 3 to the December 21, 1983 TIP E subnittal. Note that the attachnent number and title at the top of the enclosure to this letter coircide with the headirg used in the previous -
subnittal.
