Revision 7, Change 4 of the Waterford 3 Inservice Testing (IST) Plan - Pumps and Valves was submitted by Entergy Operetions via letter W3F1-91-C468, dated i j September 3,1991. This letter provided, by attachment, relief request 2.1.6. l
- Waterford 3 is currently committed to conduct IST activities in accordance with l ASME Section XI, Subsection IWP,1980 Edition through Winter 1981 Addenda.
Vibration monitoring using displacement measurements is specified by that Code.
The Test Requirement IWP-3100 and Table IWP 3100-1 require that vibration I amplitude (displacement) be measured and recorded during each pump Inservice Test. Waterford requested relief to allow testing using peak vibration velocity measurements instead of vibration displacement measurements.
, While the NRC granted relief per SER dated August 19,1992, the provisions of Relief Request 2.1.6 were never implemented at Waterford 3. Waterford 3 has continued to perform vibration monitoring using displacement measurements which complies with Section XI of the ASME Code. Upon the next revision, the IST Plan will be updated to delete Relief Request 2.1.6. This letter is to inform you of that change.
