The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff) and representatives of Energy Northwest (EN), held a telephone conference call on September 20,2010, to discuss Columbia Generating Station (CGS) responses to the NRC's request for additional information (RAI) concerning the CGS license renewal application (LRA). The telephone conference call was useful in clarifying the intent of the staff's RAls.

Enclosure 1 provides a listing of the participants and Enclosure 2 contains a listing of the RAls discussed with the applicant, including a brief description on the status of the items.

The applicant had an opportunity to comment on this summary.

TELEPHONE CONFERENCE CALL COLUMBIA GENERATING STATION LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION September 20, 2010 The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff) and representatives of Energy Northwest, held telephone conference calls on September 20, 2010 to discuss responses following requests for additional information (RAls) concerning the Columbia Generating Station (CGS), license renewal application (LRA).

Discussion:

The Staff wanted to discuss with the applicant their response to 8.2.40-1 and clarify CGS's maintenance practices. The staff has decided to issue a follow up RAI to the applicant.
