TELEPHONE CONFERENCE CALL COLUMBIA GENERATING STATION LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATIONS JUNE 1, 2011 The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff) and representatives of Energy Northwest, held telephone conference calls on June 1, 2011, to discuss the following request for additional information (RAI) concerning the Columbia Generating Station (CGS) license renewal application (LRA).

RAt 8.1.4-1, issued on May 24, 2011, is related to operating experience.

Discussion:

The staff provided further clarification on describing how future operating experience is evaluated and considered to ensure that aging management programs will remain effective for managing aging effects during the period of extended operation.

The applicant understands the RAI and will provide a response.

The staff will not issue an additional RAI.
