The Georgia Power Company offers the following inforration in response to Mr. J. P. O'Reilly's letters of February 3, 1979, and June 6, 1979, reques-ting information concerning IE Bulletins 79-01 and 79-01A.

An engineering review of the environmental qualifJ ation of Class lE equipnent on Hatch Units 1 and 2 is being performed 4.t compliance with IE Pulletin 79-01. The review is presently inconplete; however, certain items have been identified as not meeting full environmental qualifications.

The items are the Reactor Water Sample Isclat.on Valve solenoids on Units 1 The above and 2 and the Main Steam Isolation Valve limit switches on Unit 1.

items have been reported to the NRC in LER Sos. 50-321/79-36, 50-366/79-41, and 50-321/79-37 respectively. These items will be replaced as stated in the LER' s .

The detailed information roquested by item three of Bulletin 79-01 is It is being conpiled by the architect / engineer and the NSSS supplier.

expected that the required information will be available by July 1, 1979.

A review of ASCO solenoids as identified in supplement IE Bulletin 79-01A has begun. The review is expected to be complete by July 1, 1979.
