Enclosed for filing in the above dockets are three c' originals and twenty-two copies of Amendment No. 42 to the License Application. Alsc enclosed is a check for $4,000 to cover the filing fee.

This amendment relates solely to the transfer of the entire ownership share of Commonwealth Electric Company (for-merly New Bedford Gas and Edison Light Company) to its affili-ate, Canal Electric Company. This transfer was anticipated during the course of the review of Amendments 40 and 41 which related to other transfers and at that time some financial information relating to Canal was submitted. However, the Staff's Safety Evaluation did not specifically deal with this transfer between affiliates.
