OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE DOCKET NO.: 50-335 UNIT: St. Lucie ¹1 DATE: Sept. 5, 1999 COMPLETED BY: J.A.ROGERS TELEPHONE: (561) 467-7296 REPORT MQIITH Unit 1 operated at essentially full power through August 22. On August 23, the unit was manually tripped due to loss of condenser vacuum resulting from failure of gland steam regulator on ¹2 low pressure turbine. On August 27, the unit was returned to service and power was increased to 73%. At 2055, on August 27, the unit commenced downpowering to'approximately 45% for repair of the 1B main feedwater pump recirculation valve. On August 29, the unit began increasing power. On August 30, the unit returned to full power.

In accordance with the requirements of Technical Specification 6.9.1.6, there were no challenges to the power operated relief valves or the safety valves during the report period.
