Dear Mr. Kansler:

By letter dated January 25, 2006, Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc., (applicant) submitted anapplication pursuant to 10 CFR Part 54, to renew the operating license for Pilgrim NuclearPower Station, for review by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). The NRC staff conducted an audit and review of the aging management reviews (AMRs) and associated aging management programs (AMPs) for which the applicant claimed consistency with the Generic Aging Lessons Learned Report. The purpose of the audit and review was to determine the AMRs and AMPs were in compliance with 10 CFR Part 54. The report documenting the results of the audit and review is now publicly available. Thisreport can be viewed through the Agency Wide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) using Accession Number ML063110278.
