Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station - NRC Office of Investigations Case Nos. 1-2022-002 &

1-2022-006

Dear Ms. Fleming:

The Region I Field Office, NRC Office of Investigations (OI), initiated an investigation (Case No.

1-2022-002) on October 21, 2021, to determine whether a security supervisor at Pilgrim deliberately failed to maintain/secure safeguards information. Based upon documentary and testimonial evidence developed during the OI investigation, the NRC did not substantiate that the security supervisor deliberately failed to maintain/secure safeguards information.

The Region I Field Office, NRC OI, initiated an investigation (Case No. 1-2022-006) on December 17, 2021, to determine whether a security supervisor at Pilgrim deliberately failed to disclose potentially disqualifying information to the licensee. Based upon documentary and testimonial evidence developed during the OI investigation, the NRC did not substantiate that the security supervisor deliberately failed to disclose potentially disqualifying information to the licensee.

Please note that final NRC investigation documents, such as the OI reports described above, may be made available to the public under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) subject to redaction of information appropriate under the FOIA.
