SUMMARY

OF MEETING ON THE D.C. COOK TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS CONVERSION ACCEPTANCE REVIEW On April 27 and 28, 2004 , the Technical Specification Section staff conducted a meeting with representatives of American Electric Power in order to discuss the D.C. Cook Nuclear Plant Units 1 and 2 Conversion to the Improved Technical Specifications.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss NRC staff comments on providing information necessary to review the Cook submittal with the accelerated review process. The Cook submittal is the pilot program for the accelerated review process which employs improved electronic and oral communications to expedite the review process resulting in a substantial savings in review time.
