OF THE JUNE 1, 2022, PUBLIC OUTREACH TO DISCUSS THE NRC 2021 END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF DONALD C. COOK NUCLEAR PLANT On June 1, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (EDT), an information meeting with a question-and-answer session was held by representatives of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to provide the public with information on the 2021 end-of-cycle plant performance assessment of the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant, and with general information on the NRC. The open house was held at the Silver Beach Center in St. Joseph, Michigan. The NRC representatives discussed plant performance with members of the public. A representative from Indiana Michigan Power Company was also present at the event.
The NRC discussed their assessment of the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plants performance during the public outreach. The assessment information was documented in the March 2, 2022, end-of-cycle assessment letter (ADAMS Accession Number ML22059B044). Representatives from the NRC made copies of the above letter available to the public in attendance. Throughout the open house, members of the public were given the opportunity to ask questions of the Indiana Michigan Power Company official.
