SUMMARY

OF THE JULY 8, 2014, DONALD C. COOK PUBLIC MEETING On July 8, 2014, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held a public meeting at the Lake Charter Township Hall in Bridgman, Michigan, to discuss the 2013 annual assessment results for Donald C. Cook Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1 and Unit 2. A copy of the slides used by the NRCs staff during the meeting is located in ADAMS at Accession Number ML14197A610.

At the meeting, the NRC provided an overview of the reactor oversight program, the results of the 2013 annual assessment for D.C. Cook, and the NRCs inspection plans for 2014. The NRCs presentation was followed by statements from Indiana Michigan Power Company representatives who largely agreed with the NRC assessment of plant performance. At the end of the meeting, members of the public were given the opportunity to ask questions of NRC officials. A list of principal meeting attendees is enclosed.
