Reference (1) transmitted the subject I.E. Bulletin to Northeast Nuclear Energy Company requesting appropriate action. As a holder of a construction permit, the Applicant need only respond to the first group of six questions. The information requested by Questions 1, 2 and 3 is as shown on the attached table. The Applicant cannot respond to Questions 4, 5 and 6 since the pumps are not yet installed, and have not generated any start-up or operational data. Preoperational ECCS pump testing is currently scheduled for August 1983 at the earliest. Responses to the latter questions will be provided af ter that date.
