BRONNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT (BFN) UNIT 2 AMERICAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS (ASME), SECTION XI, 80 MONTH INSPECTION REPORT As required by 10 CFR 50.55a(2), TVA is providing BFN's unit 2, cycle 5, NIS-1/90-day inservice inspection report, which list the examinations performed from September 18, 1984 until July 7, 1988, and completes the 80-month inspection cycle (enclosure 2).

As a result of the current extended outage and the expansion of the workscope during this outage, a subsequent 120-month inspection cycle (cycle 5B inspection plan) has been established. A second NIS-1/90-day report addressing the cycle 5B inspections will be provided to NRC, within 90 days after unit 2 restart. In addition, TVA will provide,, NRC..wi.th.a. report of repairs and/or replacements of parts to the reactor coolant pressure boundary, that have occurred since the end of cycle 4. This report will be included with the 120-month NIS-1/90-day inservice inspection report.

The enclosure contains a list of all commitments made in this submittal.
