-(UFSAR) to be submitted in paper format, Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is hereby granted approval, pursuant to 10 CFR 50.4(c), to submit the original and one paper copy and 6 CD-ROM copies of updates to the FSAR as follows: the signed original, one paper copy, and four CD-ROM copies to the Document Control Desk, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington DC 20555-0001, one CD-ROM copy to the appropriate Regiont' Administrator, and one CD-ROM copy to the Senior Resident inspector pursuant to 10 CF' J0.4(c).
j As you are aware, the NRC is promoting Electronic Information Exchange (EIE) and is preparing a Regulatory issues Summary (replaces Administrative Letter) that will allow

licensees to submit only the signed original and one CD-ROM copy to meet Title 10 CFR Part 50 submittal requirements. NRC anticipates issuing the Regulatory Issues Summary in November 1999. The guidance contained in that Regulat "/ Issues Summary will supersede this exception and will permit licensees to submit docurr alectronically without prior NRC approval.
The NRC reserves the right to modify or' rescind this exception upon written notification.
