NRC Inspection Report 50-260/89-59 dated February 23, 1990 This letter documents the telephone conversation between NRC (Thierry Ross) and TVA (Terry Knuettel) on August 7, 1990 concerning the revision to a commitment contained in TVA's response (reference 1) to the subject inspection report (reference 2).
Specifically, the commitment to complete the modifications to correct the installation of the sense lines associated with the torus wide range level instruments by August 7, 1990 can not be met.
The I
two maintenance requests (MRs) that were written to correct the installation were completed, but an engineering evaluation performed to close the MRs determined that the installation was not within specification.
TVA plans to rework the installation and bring the int, trument sensing lines within specification and provide NRC a closure statement by October 4, 1990.
