Bulletin 88-03, Inadequate Latch Engagement in HFA-Type Latching Relays Manufactured by General Electric (GE) Company" This letter provides the results of the BFN Unit 2 inspections,1as; required by
. Reference 1 and as committed to by TVA in Reference 2.
A total of 61-HFA relays were inspected, 14 of which were contained in spare compartments. 'The
- result of these inspections is that none of the relays were found to have inadequate latch' engagement. Therefore, no corrective repairs or replacement of thesefrelays were required.-
Plant procedures are'in place to. require a complete calibration and latch
~
engagement inspection prior to placing new or spare HFA relays into service..
This completes the actions requested-and' reporting requirements for BFN Unit 2-HFA.' relays.
