Dear Mr. Scalice:

This letter confirms the telephone conversation between Mr. T. Abney of your staff and myself on July 2,1999, concerning a management meeting at your request which has been scheduled for August 30,1999, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant status and performance. The location of the meeting will be at NRC Region 11 Office, Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center,61 Forsyth St., SW, Atlanta, Georgia, in Suite 24T20. This meeting is an open meeting as per " Staff Meetings Open to the Public; Final Policy Statement" (September 20,1994; 59 FR 48340).
