50-335 St.Lucie g1 05/09/94 C.D.White (407)468-4248 REPORT MONTH APRIL 1994 Unit 1 was off-line until April 2,1994, to repair a shutdown cooling suction isolation valve.The repair was completed and reactor power was increased to approximately 204.On April 2, 1994, the unit was held at 204 to repair the 1A startup transformer breaker.On April 3, 1994, the unit tripped automatically due to a control element drive mechanism bus overcurrent and undervoltage transient caused by a procedural error.On April 4,1994, Unit 1 was increased in power and the average daily power level remained above 804 for the rest of the month.In accordance with the requirements of Technical Specification 6.9.1.6, there were no challenges to the PORVs or safety valves during the report period.

50-389 St.Lucie g2 05/09/94 C.D.White (407)468-4248 REPORT MONTH APRIL 1994 Unit 2 continued its Cycle 8 refueling outage until April 22, 1994.The unit was then operated at low power for post refueling outage testing until April 23, 1994.The unit automatically tripped on April 23, 1994 during testing due to a wiring error in the RPS channel B bypass circuit.On April 26, 1994, the unit was operated at low power during repairs to the turbine steam bypass system.From April 28, 1994, until April 30, 1994, power was increased and then held at approximately 50%for physics testing.Power was then increased to approximately 65~and held for chemistry purposes for the remainder of the month.In accordance with the requirements of Technical Specification 6.9.1.6, there were no challenges to the PORVs or safety valves during the report period.
