VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY SURRY POWER STATION UNIT NOS. 1 and 2 REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF PROPOSED DISPOSAL METHODOLOGY Pursuant to 10CFR20.302(a), Virginia Electric and Power Company requests approval for the disposal of very low-level radioactively contaminated soil at its Surry Power Station.               The attached evaluation, "Disposal of Low-Level Radioactively Contaminated Soil in the Dredge Spoils Pond" provides the supporting documentation of our request for approval to dispose of approximately 10,000 cubic yards of contaminated soil and gravel from Surry's Radiological Control Area (RCA). A comprehensive renovation project at Surry Power Station has been initiated as part of the Company's commitment to upgrade the station's environment. The contaminated soil requiring disposal will be generated by this project.
