This refers to the public meeting conducted at the New Strawn Community Center, New Strawn, Kansas, on May 14, 2019, between the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and your staff.
Approximately 40 people attended the public meeting. During the meeting, the NRC presented the results of the annual assessment of safety performance at the Wolf Creek Generating Station, Unit 1, for the period of January 1 through December 31, 2018, as documented in NRC Inspection Report 05000482/2018006, issued March 4, 2019 (ADAMS Accession No. ML19058A195). Your staff presented the stations perspective regarding the issues that contributed to the stations performance in the Licensee Response Column of the NRC Reactor Oversight Process Action Matrix.
A copy of the presentation from the meeting is enclosed.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 2.390, Public inspections, exemptions, requests for withholding, a copy of this letter and its enclosures will be made available electronically for public inspection in the NRCs Public Document Room or the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS), accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
