OF PUBLIC MEETING WITH WOLF CREEK NUCLEAR OPERATING CORPORATION

Dear Mr. Sunseri:

On March 6, 2012, representatives of the NRC met with Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation personnel at the NEW Strawn Community Center in New Strawn, KS to present the results of the NRC Augmented Inspection Team. The Augmented Inspection Team was chartered to gain a better understanding of the circumstances causing the complete loss of offsite power and reactor trip event on January 13, 2012. The list of attendees and a copy of the meeting agenda are included as Enclosures 1 and 2.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter and its enclosures will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRCs Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible from the NRC web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (The Public Electronic Reading Room).
