Docket Nos. 50-482 and 72-79: Revision of Two Procedures that Implement the Radiological Emergency Response Plan (RERP) for Wolf Creek Generating Station (WCGS)
Commissioners and Staff:
In accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q)(5) and 10 CFR 72.44(f), WCGS is submitting a change to the emergency plan. Specifically, two procedures that implement the WCGS RERP have been revised. The revised documents are identified below:
Procedure Effective Date EPP 06-002, Rev. 46B February 6, 2024 EPP 06-003, Rev. 29A February 6, 2024 The attached summaries of the changes to the implementing procedures explain that these changes do not reduce the effectiveness of the WCGS RERP.

- 1. Procedure EPP 06-002, TECHNICAL SUPPORT CENTER OPERATIONS, Rev. 46B Procedure EPP 06-002 has been revised. The procedure provides guidelines for the activation of the Technical Support Center (TSC) and Alternate TSC. It also includes the responsibilities and guidance for Emergency Response Organization (ERO) personnel assigned to the TSC. Administrative changes were made to provide wording consistency, a form reference was corrected, and the augmentation requirement associated with the TSC position was clarified.
These changes do not reduce the effectiveness of the Wolf Creek Radiological Emergency Response Plan.
- 2. Procedure EPP 06-003, EMERGENCY OPERATIONS FACILITY OPERATIONS, Rev.
29A Procedure EPP 06-003 has been revised. The procedure describes responsibilities and provides direction for ERO positions required to activate and staff the Emergency Operations Facility (EOF). Administrative changes were made to provide wording consistency, a form reference was corrected, and the responsible organization for the procedure was clarified.
These changes do not reduce the effectiveness of the Wolf Creek Radiological Emergency Response Plan.
