ENVIRONMENTAL QUALIFICATION - EXTENSION OF DEADLINE Re: Brunswick; Steam Electric Plant, Unit 2 We have received your letter dated July 7,1985 in which you requested that the Commission grant an extension beyond the November 30, 1985 deadline

, for environmental qualification of the balance of equipment for Unit 2.

Guidance related to all current and future requests for extension of time to comply with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.49_ is now being developed by the Comission. 'It is expected that a decision and generic guidance on this subject will.be available from the Comission in a few weeks and will be 3

transmitted to all licensees. Your request for extension beyond the 10 CFR 50.49(g) schedule for equipment qualification to March 30, 1986 for Brunswick 2 will be considered after the generic guidance has been developed by the Commission.
