Subject:

Onsite Property Damage Insurance Gentlemen In Reference (b), the USNRC granted Seabrook Station a temporary exemption from certain requirements of 10CFR50.54(w). Specifically, Seabrook Station was exempted from the requirements of 10CFR 50.54(w) with respect to onsite property damage insurance in excess of $620 million prior to such time that Seabrook Station receives an operating license which allows the reactor to go critical or operate at any power level.

In accordance with this exemption, the current level of onsite property damage insurance maintained by New Hampshire Yankee is as follows:

Primary Property Damage Policy ANI $430,000,000 MAELU 70,000,000 Total $500,000,000 Excess Property Damage Policy ANI $ 87,240,000 MAELU 32,760,000 Total $120,000,000 The total onsite property damage insurance coverage available under these two policies is $620 million.

As required by Reference (b), prior to issuance of P. low power (5%)

operating license for Seabrook Station, New Hampshire Yankee will submit a letter of verification that the minimum onsite property damage insurance coverage

($1.06 billion) is in effect.
