Dear Mr. Baer:

Georgia Power is committed to the development of Boiling Water Reactor safety analysis methods. In cooperation with Alabama Power Company and acting through Southern Company Services, we are members of the recently for=ed Utility Group for Regulatory Applications. This group has the immediate goal of obtaining the NRC acceptance of RETRAN as a method for performing reactor transient and accident analysis.

We understand that there will be a maximum revieval fee of twenty thousand dollars and that this will be split equally between the groups' members. Georgia Power Company will pay one-half of Southern Company Services' bill and payment will be expedited by mailing our portion to the following individual and address:

W. A. Widner General Manager Nuclear Generation Georgia Power Company P. O. Box 4545 Atlanta, Georgia 30302 Very truly yours, R. J. Kelly RDB/mb xc: Ruble A. Thomas George F. Trowbridge, Esquire R. F. Rogers, III -
