The unit exited this reporting period with the core offloaded.
There were no challenges to the pressurizer safety valves or power operated relief valves.
Gross electrical generation for the month of August was 0 MWh.'ETAILS'8/01/99 At 0900 hours Train B Emergency Diesel Generator is declared operable for Modes 5 and 6.
Inadequacy of design on combustion air intake, combustion exhaust, ventilation intake and exhaust structures in relation to tornado generated missiles has been addressed.
Compensatory measures have been placed into effect via administrative controls. Train A diesel generator remains inoperable pending resolution of governor control problems and load rejection testing.
08/10/99              At 0004 hours Train A Emergency Diesel Generator is declared operable as governor control problems are resolved and all surveillance testing associated with it is completed satisfactorily.
08/10/99              At 0900 hours Train B Emergency Diesel Generator is declared inoperable to allow 18 month frequency planned maintenance work packages.
08/10/99              At 1545 hours Train B AC electrical busses are declared inoperable to allow planned maintenance on electrical switchgear and bus work.
08/29/99              At 0530 hours Train A Emergency Diesel Generator is declared inoperable for Modes 5 and
: 6. The meteorological monitoring system (MIDAS) is not available in the Unit 1 Control Room hence the ability to anticipate tornado winds is diminished. Per administrative controls associated with design deficiencies on diesel air intake and exhaust structures the diesel must be declared inoperable and fuel movement suspended.
08/29/99              At 0730 hours Train A Emergency Diesel Generator is declared operable for Modes 5 and 6.
The meteorological monitoring system (MIDAS) is made available in the Unit 1 Control Room hence the ability to anticipate tornado winds is restored.

DETAILS'8/01/99 At 0900 hours Train B Emergency Diesel Generator is declared operable for Modes 5 and 6.
