VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNIT 1 STEAM GENERATOR UPDATE - TUBE BUNDLE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY PRESENTATION On Tuesday, July 18,1989 a meeting was held between Virginia Electric and Power Company, Westinghouse, and the NRR staff in One White Flint North Building, Rockville, l Maryland, to discuss the status of the North Anna Unit 1 steam generators. The overall l

presentation focused on the tube support plate intersection and WEXTEX expansion transition zone primary water stress corrosion cracking occurring in the North Anna Unit 1 steam generator tubes. The Westinghouse presentation (proprietary and non-proprietary) material on tube bundle structural integrity is provided herein.

The proprietary version of this report entitled " North Anna Unit 1 Steam Generator Update - Tube Bundle Structural Integrity Presentation, dated July 1989" conta:ns information proprietary to Westinghouse Electric Corporation. It is supported by an affidavit signed by Westinghouse, the owner of the information. The affidavit sets forth the basis on which the information may be withheld from public disclosure by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and addresses with specificity the considerations listed in paragraph (b)(4) of Section 2.790 of Commission's regulations.

Correspondence with respect to the proprietary aspects of the attached Application for Withholding or the supporting Westinghouse Affidavit should reference CAW-89-092 and should be addressed to R. A. Wiesemann, Manager of Regulatory and Legislative Affairs, Westinghouse Corporation, P.O. Box 355, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15230-0355.
