J By letters dated July 6,17,19 and September 11,1984 (NED-84-369,- 383, 391, and 491, respectively), Georgia Power Capany (GPC) requested an

' extension of the ' 10 L CPR .50.49(g) equipneat qualification deadline for certain Plant Hatch Unit 1 equipnent. Recently, changes have ocx:urred in the Hatch qualification progran which affect the content of the referenced

subnittals. Consaluently, the NRC staff has requested that we update, cabine and resubnit a list of all Unit 1 itens for which GEC is requesting an extension. -Such a list is provided as an enclosure to this letter.

GPC requests that the qualification deadline be extended to Novenber 30, 1985, under the provisions of 10 CER 50.49(g), for the existing Hatch 1 equipnent listed in the enclosure. Justification for this extension request was provided in the'four subnittals referenced above. 'Ihe Justifications for Continued Operation (JCOs)subnitted by letters dated July 24 and Septunber
