Georgia Power Conpany (licensee) and three other co-owners are the holders 7.*7

[2 of Facility Operating Licenses Nos. DPR-57 and NPF-5, which authorize the m:

1s operation of the Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant, Units Nos.1 and 2 at steady N

state reactor power levels not in excess of 2436 megawatts thermal (rated power) for each unit. The facilities are boiling water reactors located at the licensee's site in Appling Ccunty, Georgia.

Or. November 4,1977, the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) filed with the Comission a " Petition for Emergancy and Remedial Relief." The re:ition sought acticn in two areas:

In this connection the licensee was requested by I&E Bulletin 79-018
